Obama personally denied the Egyptian military F-16s that were supposed to be shipped as part of an aid package to Egypt. So the Egyptian military and people are indicating that if Obama wants to support the Muslim Brotherhood, they have other alternatives like Putin, who has shown he wouldn’t support the Brotherhood.
The U.S. has for years been close to the military who were always anti-Muslim Brotherhood.
So despite Congressional objection, Obama is personally sinking any positive relationship with the one major-non Islamist element in Egypt.
