Fire on plane / Crew leaving, abandoning passengers on burning plane

Antalya (Turkey): Mortal fear in a vacation plane goung from Antalya to Trondheim (Norway): On the turkish vacation paradise’s airport, a fire broke out in a Boeing 737-800 belonging to Corendon Airlines, shortly before take-off.
Unbelievable: Passengers reported that the crew fled – abandoning the passengers!
‘When we noticed the smoke, we wanted to leave the machine’, a tourist reports to norwegian newspaper ‘Verdens Gang’. The crew, however, demanded that we remain seated.’
Only when flames clearly visible came out of the cockpit, the flight stewards apparently realised the danger and fled from the plane. ‘Before us’, according to the tourist.
The airline contradicts the passengers’ descriptions. ‘The crew left the plane only after the last passenger had been evacutaed’, said a Corendon speaker.
Another passenger said she had seen from her front seat that, first the pilots fled from the smoking cockpit, then the remaining crew simply ‘disappeared’.
A panic erupted among the 158 passengers aboard the Boeing 737-800! According to reports found at the ‘ABCNews’ news portal, two passengers broke their legs while fleeing from the plane. 25 passengers inhaled smoke, had likewise to be taken to a hospital.
At this time, Antalya airport authorities refused to confirm the reports.
A representative for tour operator Detur said the passengers had immediately been brought into safety when the fire had been noted.
