"Spencer must pay heavy price"
Here is today's death threat. It's interesting to note the double standard once again: Daisy Khan of the Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero said that she had received a death threat, and it was national news. I receive death threats on a more or less daily basis, and send them to law enforcement; I never hear anything back, and the media is no less indifferent. This is a recurring pattern: remember when Seattle cartoonist Molly Norris was threatened over "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day," she had to leave her job and conceal her identity, at her own expense, and the world yawned.Robert Spencer, like our men and women in uniform, is PAYING THAT PRICE FOR OUR FREEDOM.
This double standard reveals several assumptions on the part of the mainstream media: they assume that Muslims are always victims, and thus have no interest in a story that positions Muslims as perpetrators of violence or threats.
