Another Shooting Upon Military Installations In Northern Virginia


Strange, and finally the FBI has been called in:
Pentagon, Marine museum shots linked

The FBI on Tuesday opened an investigation into three unexplained shootings at military installations in Northern Virginia over the past 10 days.

The first shooting, which broke upper-level windows at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle just off of Interstate 95, happened in the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 17. The second shooting, at the Pentagon, was reported at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19 in the area of the south parking lot, which faces I-395. The FBI announced Tuesday afternoon that those two shootings have been linked to the same weapon.

A third shooting, which apparently happened overnight Monday into Tuesday, targeted the Marine Corps Recruiting Station at 13881 MetroTech Drive in Chantilly. Authorities believe this shooting could be related to the other two, but they are awaiting ballistics tests on bullets from the most recent attack....

"It could be someone who holds a grudge against the military. It someone who believes by targeting military facilities they will get a lot of attention. It could becould be someone suffering from PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder] who believes someone in one of those buildings is responsible," Weber said. "Or it could be none of those things."...
