Britain’s Next Labour Party Leader Called For Iraqis To Engage In “Military Struggle” Against US And UK Forces, Describes Hamas and Hezbollah as "Friends"

Jeremy Corbyn, the man tipped to be the next Labour leader, attended a conference that called on Iraqis to engage in “military struggle” against coalition forces.
In 2003 Mr Corbyn attended an event in Cairo on behalf of Stop the War which supported “resistance against the occupation forces with all legitimate means, including military struggle”.
BBC Panorama revealed that Mr Corbyn was on Stop the War’s steering committee at the time, and the conference communique was subsequently posted on the organisation’s website.
A spokeswoman for Mr Corbyn declined to say whether he supported the right of Iraqis to atack British soldiers. She said that he had been opposed to the Iraq War and loss of the lives of 179 British soldiers, and said that Stop the War coalition’s decision to publish the Cairo conference’s declaration did not mean he supported it.
Mr Corbyn has faced intense scrutiny for his foreign policy after describing Hamas and Hezbollah as “friends.
