Even the NY Times 'GETS' the Iranian Election Result

NYT:

Whether his 63 percent victory is truly the will of the people or the result of fraud, it demonstrated that Mr. Ahmadinejad is the shrewd and ruthless front man for a clerical, military and political elite that is more unified and emboldened than at any time since the 1979 revolution.

As president, Mr. Ahmadinejad is subordinate to the country’s true authority, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who commands final say over all matters of state and faith. With this election, Mr. Khamenei and his protégé appear to have neutralized for now the reform forces that they saw as a threat to their power, political analysts said.

“This will change the face of the Islamic Republic forever,” said one well-connected Iranian, who like most of those interviewed declined to be named in the current tense climate.

Just for a frame of reference, Hashemi Rafsanjani, the 'moderate' former prez, who told the world the minute they had nukes, it was over for Israel, had endorsed, Mousavi. This tells us all we need to know about where on the spectrum we can locate A'jad and Khameinei.

This is not a non story.

It's the electoral Reichstag fire. (and it's just ONE test Mr. Obama)

We were hoping for some kind of movement towards sense, but the Hojatieh freaks were planning on this election as the MEANS to not just hold power, but CEMENT IT for their own purposes.

Are there any who can confidently say their ghoulish pronouncements for both the great and little satan are not something they believe? Can these people edging us all towards an open and dialoging stance not HEDGE their beliefs with not the threat but the PRESENCE of force?

Obama has pressured the Israelis ..imagine how much more pressure he could apply if the MULLAHS were GONE, and HAMAS, Hizballah, Syria and the murderers were without the slightest HOPE of financial and armed support which could make a real difference?

How would the Norks behave knowing their weapons R&D cash had just evaporated? Could we then CATCH them at export in desperation?

Obama, get yourself into REALITY and out of the dialectic matrix of progressive beliefs which do not match objective reality.

The purpose of this electoral adventure was for the Mullahs to exert utter control. Next time they will have an 80% result for themselves. It's a dull, old story.

It has a familiar ending.
