From the folks who brought you 'the global warming debate is over' : "everybody agrees that the recession is over"
GUFFAW.
ABC NEWS' Stephanopoulous:
The President's top economic advisor, Larry Summers, told me that "by spring employment growth will start turning positive."
During my "This Week" interview, Summers said that "everybody agrees that the recession is over," but he did not say when the unemployment rate could be expected to drop further.
The unemployment rate dipped last month to 10 percent from a peak of 10.2 percent. Many private economists, like Moody's Mark Zandi, predict unemployment will climb through the third quarter of next year to 10.6 percent.
As a small businessman, I can assure Larry, that my clients and I see NOTHING which indicates that the recession is over (a frequent discussion), or is lessening, let alone at a point where businessmen would consider cash outlays for new hires. It is not getting worse is something which might be said. But it could hardly do so. What is below this point is indescribable.
Who are these people and who is feeding them such utter crap? These people have no contact with objective reality any more.
They are responsible for Sarah Palin's rising popularity. When the elite and erudite history and political professors consider the horror of Mrs Palin they should be considering not her but her raison d'etre.
