Sarah Palin Signs Deal with Fox News

Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel, according to The New York Times.
The network confirmed Monday to the Times that Ms. Palin would appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multiyear deal.
Palin will not have her own regular program, one person with knowledge of the deal told the Times, but she could host a series that will run on the network from time to time. The scenario was compared to a series hosted by Oliver L. North on the military called “War Stories.”
It’s long been speculated that when she retired as the governor of Alaska last summer she was doing so to pursue some sort of career in television. The Fox News deal apparently will still give her plenty of freedom to pursue a political career.
The deal could be formally announced as early as Monday. Robert Barnett, Palin’s lawyer, did not respond to a call from the Times for comment.
