An agent for the UK Border and Immigration Agency added his own wife to a terrorist watch list in order to keep her away, back in Pakistan, where she had traveled for a family visit. The scheme worked for three years until the agent was up for a promotion and his vetting uncovered the fact that his wife was on the list. At that point the agent confessed to having altered the list and was quickly fired for misconduct.
