THE JERUSALEM POST

The Anti-Terror Branch of the Institute of National Security issued an immediate call to Israelis vacationing in the Sinai that terror cells in the peninsula were planning a kidnapping attack on an Israeli citizen.

The warning is effective immediately and is the most severe warning issued in the past year.
Israelis vacationing in the Sinai were urged to immediately pick up their belongings and leave the desert resort, the warning said.

Sinai is a popular tourist destination for Israeli travelers looking for a low-cost vacation abroad at a reasonable price. On average, during the high season the number of Israelis visiting the Sinai reaches 20,000.
