Somalian 13-year-old Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow had been raped by three important guys of her city's clan. She went to seek for help. And then she was accused of adultery, carried on to a stadium, buried to the chest and stoned in front of 1000 people. It has been reported she suffered severe psychiatric problems during the process.
Pakistani 23-year-old Tasleem Solangi was married some months ago. Her father-in-law wanted her own father to sell part of the little farm he owned. Her father didn't want to. So the local jirga sentenced her to death on charges of adultery. She was firstly mauled by dogs, then when they considered she was wounded enough, she was shot. His father was in a room with the door closed but with the window opened, so he could see what she was suffering.
Another Pakistani man has been married to three girl-brides (10, 11 and 13 years-old) and given 20 water buffalo after his late wife was also accused of an illicit affair and sentenced to death by the local Jirga. The three girl brides and the 20 water buffalo were in compensation of the adulterous wife. "The police arrested the killer but soon released him and have respected the decision of the Jirga".
So terrible, so wicked, so malign, so unjust, so wrong, so... I'm so angry when I read these things. How can we consider us humans and not be enraged at the sight of these crimes?
