Maybe, but I have a very different narrative
PBS broadcast a special documentary on modern antisemitism, and inadvertently put on display one of the most pressing inaccuracies regarding modern antisemitism.
Add to this the NYT review of this, and holy shnikees Batman, we really have a hologram of the problem
In effect, PBS and the NYT put the onus for muslim racism on christians and jews.
The Christians, according to this TV narrative, invented it, and by choosing to have a nation (and self defense) after 2000 years of Christian antisemitism, the jews joined this pernicious disease to the poor innocent Muslims of the middle east.
Now admittedly, while watching this last night, and seeing the face of Mr. Judt, who in not defending Walt and Mearsheimer on TV managed to appear not off the wall, I was dismayed.
And certainly, in reading the review/preview, and seeing the dismay of the NYT at Bernard Lewis not being identified as a jew who pushed Cheney to invade Iraq (which somehow is also responsible for more antisemitism foisted on more innocent Arabs by American jew duped WASP's, I assume, to protect the state there as a result of prior Christian antisemitism), one looks and one sees the complete elite progressive, theoretically, I suppose, harmless racism of the Margaux and Volvo hands off superior, 'we know better', insufferables.
However, while agreeing with some of the items presented as facts last night, I have a far different take on modern antisemitism.
