Munich airport closed due to security breach

UPDATED

Reuters reporting Munich airport is closed after a man tried to dodge security. His laptop was being searched, may or may not have shown traces of explosives (depending on the source) and he bolted.
Police were unable to comment on his nationality. ". . ."The explosives detector was alerted by a laptop, and as a result should have been checked again. But at this point the male passenger left the security area into a secured area. As a result we had to seal off and clear the fourth floor of Terminal Two. Searches are still taking place for this person."

"In the meantime we have examined security camera footage ... At the moment we cannot give any information about this person," he said.". . .

It appeared the man had been carrying no other luggage with him.

". . .Later, a police spokesman said it could not be ruled out that the security alarm may have been triggered by a man who was late for his plane and whose luggage contained other chemical substances, such as perfumes, which could have resembled explosives."It does not necessarily mean that he was carrying explosives," Albert Poerschke, a police spokesman, said.

"He might have been in a hurry to catch his plane, which is why he ran away. If he was rushing, he might not have registered what was happening."Police were still looking for the man three and a half hours after he had fled.

The incident began at 3.40pm when the man was going through the Schengen security area, where passports are not required to be shown. He was apparently carrying only hand luggage.. . ."

Right. He was in a hurry so he decided to ditch his laptop.

I don't know about you guys, but I have stuff on my computer that is important to me. I think everyone does, right?

We sure do bend over backwards to avoid the truth.

UPDATE: From Anonymous-

All-clear at Munich airport after alert
"German police have given the all-clear at Munich airport after a security alert sparked by a man running away from a security check when his laptop tested positive for possible explosives.

Police spokesman Albert Poerschke said on Wednesday that the man, who has still not been identified, was most likely a businessman in a hurry to catch his flight who was unaware that security personnel wanted to check inside his laptop bag."

That's s-o-m-e "investigation".
