Photovoltaic Power Installed In Saxon
With 7500 m² of solar panels, the plant should produce one million kilowatt an hour which is equivalent to the consumption of 300 households.
The work on the site was done in seven weeks on Tuesday by the Vaud Solstis Company that has made. It has already taken 35,000 m² of solar panels in Switzerland to produce the equivalent of 0.2% of the nuclear Mühleberg.
This plant is the largest of its kind ever conducted in the Valais. Alone, it can produce two and a half times more solar power than all the existing facilities in Valais, the statement said.
The hall that hosts the installation belongs to a civil engineering company. The energy produced will be made publicly available by the regional distributor Seica-Teledis that provides electricity using hydropower. To use this 100% clean energy, the customer must pay a surcharge of 50 francs per year.
