Screw Obama's Hajj Message, Ted Has Left A Thanksgiving Message

Thanksgiving Every Day
by Ted Nugent
Posted 11/26/2009 ET

Thanksgiving is one of the most important holidays in the Nugent household. Though we give thanks on a daily basis for our health, the wild game that sustains us, those brave warriors who protect us, there are other things I am so grateful and thankful for.

I'm immensely thankful for the small business risk takers who do their best to keep the American economy moving forward. They are the wind in the sails of our economy. It is upon their entrepreneurial backs that 70-80% of Americans find employment. We must find ways to constantly reward these wonderful risk takers, not punish them with even more taxes and bureaucratic burdens. The goal must always be to create an environment where even more Americans become entrepreneurs.

I'm forever grateful for the volunteer spirit that burns brightly in the souls of so many Americans who quietly go about volunteering in their communities and making their communities better places to live, work and play. They do these things because it is the right thing to do. If you are looking for the bedrock of America, you will find it in the selfless volunteer spirit of those who give so graciously of their time, talents and resources. These wonderful people don't make America a good nation. They make America a great nation.

God bless the warriors. I will never be able to thank them and their families enough. They are the best America has to offer our nation and the world. The American military heroes have liberated more people from the shackles of tyranny and oppression than any other entity in the history of the world. Never forget that and make sure your children know this. Our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines and coastguardsmen -- and their families -- sacrifice far more than all the rest of us combined so that we can go about our lives pursuing our American Dreams.

Never miss an opportunity to shake the hands of these wonderful heroes for keeping America safe and free. May God eternally bless the American warriors and their families. They are the tip of the spear of freedom.

Those Americans who still cherish and embrace the dreams of our founding fathers bring a smile to my face. As Mark Levin so aptly identified in his best-selling book, Liberty and Tyranny, our Founding Fathers recognized the greatest threat to liberty was an all-powerful central government.

It is healthy and wise to question the motives of those who wish to expand control over almost every facet of our lives. The Fedzillacrats in both parties are compromising the vision of our founding fathers for political and personal power. They are punks. Do you patriotic duty and vote these punks out of office. Do this for America. Do this for your grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rosa Parks has always been a hero of mine and I'm thankful for her simple, yet tremendously powerful act of defiance. Defiance is in our DNA as Americans, and Rosa Parks' defiance moved America forward. We can all move America forward by becoming bold and defiant activists to illogical policies and restrictions.

Activism and participating in this unique experiment in self-government makes America stronger. The 20,000 Tea Party activists I witnessed at the Alamo with Glenn Beck served to boldly remind me that we can, we must and we will. I remember the Alamo.

If there is one thing I'm terminally addicted to, it is pure, unfiltered, bold honesty. I've had enough of politically correct speech, spin, obfuscation, half-baked truths, and ugly lies. The simple truth is all I want, and when I hear it, it soothes my soul. Indeed, the truth shall set us free. Honesty remains the best policy. Those who speak the truth are true patriots and all of us should be very thankful for them.

Parents who truly care are deserving of all of our thanks. I'm talking about parents who lovingly make their children do chores, who sit at the kitchen table and check homework, who teach their children to respect their elders, who teach their children to be polite and accountable, and that all good things come from hard work and effort. If you are such a
parent, you are in the asset column of life and I will never able to thank you enough.

I thank God daily for my family and for the amazing opportunities and blessings bestowed upon me. Just to have been born in America is an amazing blessing, as much of the world is controlled by tyrants, thugs, despots and slave drivers.

America is the last best place -- that shining city on a hill. Give sincere thanks by keeping it shining.
