In the wake of the terrorist attack on the offices of the French magazine Charlie Hebdo, Muslims in Niger went on a rampage burning down 69 churches and 11 homes in just a few hours, all because they were Christian.
CBN News has gotten their hands on never seen before footage that shows dozens of Muslims burning down one church while beating a Christian member of that same church outside.
The pastor says that it is still very difficult for him to watch. Another pastor told CBN News that they believe this attack on the Christian churches was systematic and organized because, otherwise, it doesn’t make sense that 69 churches and 11 Christian homes would all be burned down in a matter of hours.
He is quite sure someone planned this attack. Since the attack, no arrests have been made.
CBN News interviewed a Muslim leader in the area who said that Islam was a religion of peace and that Muslims were not involved in burning of the churches, suggesting that if the men who did the burnings were arrested that Christians would be among them.
But a local pastor who has lived there for 35 years says that’s ridiculous, explaining that they were shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’. But even more than that he says he knows a Muslim when he sees one.
