Simply hilarious

Following the news of Sony's politicizing the project about the raid on bin Laden's hideout, rabid leftist Andrew Belonsky has done some politicizing of his own. He said that:
Now Peter King, the Republican congressman who held one-sided, fear-mongering hearings on Muslim radicalization, has demanded the Defense Department and the CIA launch an investigation.
Oh god, is this silly. Of course King did conduct one-sided hearings, but he was only willing to bring in specific witnesses who met his PC-approach, such as Muslims themselves, and Keith Ellison sure wasn't honest nor very grown up about it. But that's not what the sick Belonsky means, is it? No, what he must have a problem with is that King would hold them at all.
As for Bigelow and Boal, they released their own statement to point out that their movie “has been in the works for many years and integrates the collective efforts of three administrations, including those of Presidents Clinton, Bush, and Obama.”
Umm, there's just one thing: bin Laden only died recently, and this project appears to have been chalked up just shortly after. And even if the White House did provide cooperation when Dubya was pres, for info that the screenplay could draw ideas from, there's little chance it'd ever be made as part of an election campaign.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out — whether King will lose interest and give up his clearly politicized fight, or whether other right-wingers will join up, turning the big screen bin Laden tale into this year’s ‘Hillary: The Movie,’ the documentary that helped spark the Supreme Court’s ‘Citizens United’ ruling.
And it'll be interesting to see how much longer young master Belonsky wishes to keep up his anti-conservative rants for sake of anti-conservative rants. He's only making pure comedy out of himself. I really am not impressed with King, but for reasons far different: because King is sadly rather PC.

Update: Lionel Chetwynd has spoken about this topic, and he tells something very eyebrow raising about Bigelow's previous film too:
Which brings us to the Bigelow-Boal film The Hurt Locker. According to knowledgable sources in the American military, during the filming of The Hurt Locker Ms. Bigelow violated her agreement with the Pentagon, amongst other things using an American military vehicle to enter a Palestinian area to film a demonstration. Scenes were added but kept from the Pentagon, depicting U.S. personnel abusing detainees.
After reading this, maybe I'm glad I don't have sufficient interest in movies these days to gather up the guts to see even this one. Because it kowtowed to "appeasement tactics".
