(Hizb ut-Tahrir.Nl)They seem to have removed the pick by now but i downloaded the pic before they did remove it.
An explanation from the White house why the Presidents image was used for an Islamic meeting about creating a Caliphat, would be most welcome.Hmmm...."I will stand with my Muslim Brothers"?
- Hizb ut-Tahrir (Arabic: حِزْبُ التَحْرِير Ḥizb at-Taḥrīr; English: Party of Liberation) is an international pan-Islamic political organisation whose goal is for all Muslim countries to unify as an Islamic state or caliphate ruled by Islamic law and with a caliph head of state elected by Muslims.
The organization was founded in 1953 in Jerusalem by Taqiuddin al-Nabhani, an Islamic scholar and appeals court judge (Qadi) from the Palestinian village of Ijzim. Since then Hizb ut-Tahrir has spread to more than 40 countries, and by one estimate has about one million members. Hizb ut-Tahrir is very active in the west, particularly in the United Kingdom within Arab and Pakistani communities, and is also active in several Arab and Central Asian countries, despite being banned by some of the local governments.Hizb ut-Tahrir believes a caliphate would provide stability and security to both Muslims and Non-Muslims in the predominantly Muslim regions of the world. The party promotes a detailed program for institution of a caliphate that would establish Shariah and carry "the Da'wah of Islam" to the world. It believes this political transformation would provide honest leadership, protecting and caring for its citizens, and fighting against the "colonial foreign policies" of the United States and other Western nations that have led to "U.S. interventions, energy inspired wars, puppet (Muslim) governments and western values forced by the barrel of a gun." Hizb ut-Tahrir is also strongly anti-Zionist and calls for Israel, which it calls an "illegal entity," to be dismantled. Source.
I could be wrong, but I think the political leaders in color on that poster are the ones this group is protesting against...western leaders and arab puppet regiems?I think he is correct about that. I was thrown off by Assad and Gadaffi, whom I think of as real Islamic leaders. But, of course, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Mullahs, Hizballah, Hamas, and the Taliban would beg to differ.
If that is correct then this is an anti-obama poster.
