Rep. Wolf again petitions for probe of Northern Va. Islamic schoolsAs of now, here are the comments at the thread:

Rep. Frank Wolf on Tuesday again asked the State Department to take a more active role in addressing whether textbooks being used at two Islamic Saudi Academy campuses in Northern Virginia promote violence or intolerance.
“I urge you once again ... to conclusively determine what is being taught at the school,” the Republican, who represents Virginia’s 10th District, wrote to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. “As I noted in my last letter, if [the academy] is in the process of adopting new curricula, as State’s response indicated, then this review would have the effect of determining once and for all whether there is any merit in these persistent concerns and if so what must be done about it.”
This is the fifth letter Wolf has written to Rice about the schools, which have campuses on Richmond Highway near Alexandria and in Fairfax City.
In June [2008], a U.S. commission issued a report that outlined a series of hate-filled teachings they said remained in the schools’ curricula. The passages authorize the killing of adulterers and converts who leave Islam, condemn Jews, and celebrate martyrdom.

Dennis Grubb: "Rep. Wolf's daughter in law is Muslim and is asking making this inquiry without prejudice..he merely wants the Secretary of State to do her job, make an inquiry and answer his letter. This is what makes him an effective Congressman."

Raymond in DC: "I commend Wolf's efforts. This school - linked to the Saudi embassy - is part a broad effort to insinuate and legitimize Islamic fundamentalism onto US soil. I, for one, don't recall Rice ever challenging the Saudis on anything - not as head of the NSC, not as head of State."

Andrew in Massapequa: "This should be done automaticly. We can not allow our enemies to make inroads into young peoples minds. If they are not doing anything wrong then they shold not be afraid of scrutiny."

Robert L. Duecaster: "Kudos to Mr. Wolf for urging an investigation into this potential risk to national and local security. He ignored that risk by failing to take any action regarding the invasion of his district by illegal aliens. Maybe he can salvage his legacy by drawing attention to this potential risk."

condoman: "Lest we forget it was at that school, after 911, that the government, through surveillance, was able to stop a plot from 2 of their students flying to the Middle East to conduct their own form of Jihad in the name of Allah. So,why did A.J.not mention that?!"
