The view of this ‘HAMAS cease fire’ from space
Let’s see… on the morning HAMAS blows up a bus in Tel Aviv, or was it Jerusalem, (does it matter, I mean jews were aboard, right?) and after a week or so of Israel bombing, rocketing, and otherwise trying to obliterate HAMAS’ Iranian smuggled Fajr-5’s as well as the rest of the stupid arsenal, and after 800 HAMAS rockets bombarding Israel this year, Bibi agreed to a US sponsored, Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood guaranteed mini truce which will last until it doesn’t.

I could not figure out why.
Later yesterday there was an announcement that the US was going to finance a ‘further’ deployment and development of the one thing thing this war proved .. IRON DOME works rather well. In fact if 2-3 interceptors were used per incoming missile (expensive, no?) then perhaps NOTHING reaches any ground where people or valuable targets are.
Then, there was an announcement that Morsi had arrogated to himself (and the Brotherhood) new executive powers to try, hold, retry and otherwise act to ‘protect the revolution’. That sounds PRECISELY like 1979 from here. Just a salafi version of the freaks from Qom.
So to stop the inevitable invasion of Gaza, we have paid for an Israeli umbrella of their own design (and perhaps our own needs for certain real world testing), and sold out any idea, hope or future for ANY SORT of secular Egypt with any sort of individual rights.
Egypt bought internal freedom for salafism by guaranteeing (until they don’t) that NO jihadis would launch anything from Gaza (or Sinai) into Israel. Of course to do this, they will have to have their army RIGHT in the zone which the 1973 peace agreement dictates there be NO forces. Egypt will enforce on Gaza that which they could enforce inside Sinai (Egypt proper)?

Maybe for some room to act near Fordo and Qom.
For the US, we gain NOTHING from this.
All for nothing. Except Israelis can go back to work until next time, and Gazan families can go back to normal life with a missile launcher in the kids playroom.
Arab countries governed by man-made law cannot be considered Muslim because they do not implement Sharia even though their experience and religion have introduced Sharia to them (Zubaida 60). In this way, Qutb represents how both external nations and the internal state are Islam’s enemies because these nations/states live in a state of Jahiliyya, “ignorance,” and when applied to Western ideas “barbarism” (Brown 216). The societies who claim to be Muslim and do not follow Sharia law, Qutb labels infidels.
This is the revolution which must be ‘protected’ and this is what the USA has acquiesced to for this truce.
