Trumpism: Storming The Bastille

There's a piece of shit lying in the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD over at PJM today. It was lain by one Andrew Klavan. It is just another attempt by an establishment fear-monger to drop a load on Trump's head.

Truth is, every time they do this, they convince yet another one of us that Trump is the answer.

Why do I say this? Because they don't actually address any of the issues. They just insinuate.

I won't quote the article, but I will post some of the comments:

I am really sick and tired of anti-Trump pundits slinging casual insults at supporters' intelligence, awareness, and general political knowledge. It is a repugnant elitism that is a big reason folks on the right are at the point of "@#$@ you" to any and all so-called Republicans.
Trump's support is very simple to understand, and folks like Klavan, Driscoll, and the like want to demean it as childish when it is anything but. Republicans have betrayed the base time after time after time. McCain was a fiasco. Romney ran a horrible campaign. The Republican legislature has continually failed to do anything they promise, and often the opposite.
When you consider all this....when you recognize that following the establishment has been utterly counterproductive, how is it possible to not consider supporting an outsider??? Regardless of the potential faults and issues with Trump, how does it make sense to support an establishment candidate like Rubio, or even Cruz, when that has repeatedly resulted in failure and betrayal. Better to take a risk with a loon like Trump than dig ourselves deeper into the hole with a RINO.

"Trump is a lifelong left-wing friend-of-Democrats campaigning as a Republican for his own reasons." What some conservative pundits can't bring themselves to admit or simply don't understand is that Trump is not a "candidate." He represents revolution by other means.
Trump is the political equivalent of The Glorious Revolution (1688), the storming of the Bastille (1789), the October Revolution (1917).
Even if he is secretly a liberal on most issues, people support Trump for five reasons:
1) they reason that no Republican can with the election in the current corrupted state of our country and that he would be better than Hillary;
2) they don't care about his outlandish rhetoric as long as he creates jobs;
3) they believe he will build the wall and slow down immigration;
4) they know he will show contempt, and make showing contempt safe, for political correctness;
5) and lastly, a certain segment of Republican Trump supporters want to overthrow the establishment and burn down the GOP Bastille.
At least, these are all reasons why I support the movement of "Trumpism" if not, primarily, the candidacy of Trump.

Rubio is pro-open borders, and is beholden to the donors who own the Republican party. The media will be easy on him unless he wins the nomination. The base is adamantly opposed to his nomination, and without their support he cannot beat Hillary. It will be just like the last election. I will not vote for Rubio. Cruz is a real conservative who carries some necessary baggage from his Senate years but is acceptable to the base. He has been demonized by the leftist media but is smart enough to have a chance against Hillary in the general, but it will be an uphill battle. I will gladly vote for Cruz.
Trump is the first Republican since Reagan who is in it to win it. He will not be cowed by a media, both left and right, who will try to circumscribe what he is allowed to say. He speaks directly to the white working class that has been abandoned by the Democrats and repeatedly stiffed by the Republicans. He will bring in the kind of voters who did not turn out for Romney.
He really could win. Even better, his candidacy would smash the oily Republican Establishment and pave the way for the GOP to be a true conservative party that represents middle class interests over those of cheap labor-seeking plutocrats. I don't trust Trump either, but I will enthusiastically cast a vote against our whole corrupt sclerotic political system. A paradigm shift is exactly what America needs, and now.

How can you place Rubio in the same group as Cruz and Trump? They are sharply divided on the issue of immigration. Rubio will be sunk by his pro-immigration stance, and is on the way out. Rubio could only be considered "a good solid Republican" by the GOPe aka Democrats Lite.
My man is Cruz, but if it becomes clear that the number of disaffected Democrats (those elusive Reagan Democrats) will give Trump the victory, then it is for Trump that I will vote. I'm not enchanted with Trump's views, but am reasonably sure he would at minimum halt the disastrous immigration that is destroying America.

This article is rubbish. Rubio represents the same old same old "Democrat lite" of the GOP.
If you want to perpetuate the Bush/McConnell/Boehner(now Ryan) disaster vote for Rubio. If you want substantive change in the GOP and the country to put the nation back on the right (read correct) track vote for Cruz and yes Trump.
The major worry for the GOP establishment and the people who have bought them is that either Cruz or Trump will destabilize their sinecures.
