Pupils at Trojan Horse school ‘were made to chant ‘We don’t believe in Christmas’ by teacher in rally-style assembly’
A teacher at a school implicated in the Trojan Horse scandal where staff were said to be forcing extreme Islamic policies on pupils is accused of leading anti-Christian chants at assemblies.It is alleged pupils at Oldknow Academy were instructed to shout phrases denouncing Christianity by class teacher Asif Khan.Mr Khan is claimed to have led children in chanting: ‘We don’t believe in Christmas, do we?’ and ‘Jesus wasn’t born in Bethlehem, was he?’
A teacher at Oldknow Academy (pictured) – a school implicated in the Trojan Horse scandal – is accused of leading anti-Christian chants at assemblies. Asif Khan is said to have had children shout ‘We don’t believe in Christmas, do we?’ and ‘Jesus wasn’t born in Bethlehem, was he?’
He is also accused of talking to the pupils about ‘hellfire’ and ‘prostitutes’.A tribunal into his apparent behaviour heard that some teachers even walked out during the school assemblies, disgusted by Mr Khan’s supposed actions.
