Yes, She's a Racist
Which is why President Obama has appointed Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court of the United States. The American Bar Association provides the smoking gun in their profile of Sotomayor:
In addition to her work on the bench, Judge Sotomayor is an adjunct professor at New York University School of Law and a lecturer-in-law at Columbia Law School. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Women’s Bar Association, the Puerto Rican Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Association of Judges of Hispanic Heritage, and the National Council of La Raza. She has received many honors including, most recently, an award from the National Association of Women Lawyers.
Here is the resume of a professional identity politics apparatchik. La Raza (The Race) is an explicitly racist organization that trumpets the
Reconquista of the American Southwest. They are now soon to have their very own Supreme Court Justice.
As the founder of La Raza, Jose Angel Gutierrez has stated:
We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to worst, we have got to kill him.
And with the far left, it also comes to the worst. Empathy, you had better believe in.

UPDATE I: Here's more information on La Raza from Michelle Malkin at National Review online.
Update II: Here is a telling quote from Sotomayor's now notorious speech at Berkeley in 2001. She is making a statement defending "diversity" i.e. racial profiling in appointing judges to the bench.
I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life ... Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences our gender and national origins [euphemism for race] may and will make a difference in our judging....
What is most interesting is that she closes this paragraph by describing the epistemological basis of her racism,
“there is no objective stance but only a series of perspectives.” By a "series of perspectives" she means that there are no standards of truth or justice applicable to all citizens. Instead
America's newest Supreme Court Justice is an adherent to the doctrine of racial subjectivism. As Leonard Peikoff defines it:
Racial subjectivism holds that a man's inborn racial constitution determines his mental processes, his intellectual outlook, his thought patterns, his feelings, his conclusions - and that these conclusions, however well established are valid only for group members of a given race, who share the same underlying constitution. [The Ominous Parallels, p. 60]
What makes this particularly disturbing is the thesis of Peikoff's book, which is the rise of a fascist America. In 1982 he predicted that this was the road America had embarked upon. In a concluding chapter he explained how America was balkenizing into mutually hostile groups, many of which that are race based.
Thus the fading of the New World's legendary "melting pot," which had once demonstrated that men from around the globe could live together in harmony; the harmony had followed from the principle that group ties did not have to matter, because in America self-reliance was possible and individual accomplishment was the source of rewards ... This is the emergence in the United States of the most primitive form of collectivism, the form endemic to backward cultures (and to controlled economies): tribal racism. Racism is what takes over anywhere - wherever the knowledge of the nature and possibilities of man, man the individual, has not yet been grasped, or is being battered into oblivion. [Peikoff, p. 312]
The batterers against self-reliance, individualism and genuine accomplishment as the source of rewards are now in charge of both the White House and Congress. Those two branches have now set there sights on the third branch of government. I have no doubt that if Obama gets another opportunity to appoint a Supreme Court Justice, he will find someone who shares his own, and Sotomayor's, contempt for individualism, reason and freedom. Someone so filled with self-doubt and loathing that they must find "identity" in a human herd of fellow tribal racists.

Drudge Sums It Up With Headlines
I am always amused by how Matt Drudge plays up the Apocalyptic tendencies inherent in our culture, often interspersing headlines about earthquakes, famines, pestilence, with news about "wars, and rumors of war". He really is a genius at that, for what...
