August 23, 2009, “We elected an organizer for SEIU and ACORN to the office of President, and that’s exactly what we got-an organizer for SEIU and ACORN, who has put their agenda above the needs of the entire nation.”
SEIU — the purple shirt thugs armed with signs, bullhorns, and loud-mouth vulgar sneers and smears — announces Solidarity Action beginning tomorrow at state capitols in five states (Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin — and maybe more). (You may want to keep an eye on this movable schedule.)
SEIU posts the disclaimer that most events are sponsored by other unions even though, with the exception of the evening “vigil” at the AFL-CIO building in Texas, no other sponsoring unions are mentioned. Regardless, SEIU says “everyone is welcome to attend.”
You won’t need a calculator to figure out a whole lot of workers will not be working during these events. You may also notice that several of them are planned around 4:00 P.M. local time, when state workers will be leaving work and attempting to depart for home. A normal rush hour exit will now be impeded by purple- and red-shirted thugs and others.
April 21, 2010, Springfield, Illinois — “Where’s the money?”
Unsurprisingly, not so many events are planned for tomorrow. After all, it IS Presidents’ Day and state workers in most states will not be at work.

Update: The AFL-CIO Sunday Morning blog update states there will be more than 50 events in 29 states this week “with working families, veterans, seniors, students, women’s groups, faith groups, environmentalists and many others.”
In Madison, on Monday, there will be a “big concert” with “Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) and the Street Dogs (offshoot of Drop Kick Murphys).”
Nothing like a FREE UNION-FINANCED CONCERT by a group of musically-challenged anarchists hardcore punk rockers to pump up the attendance numbers.
