More stupidity on stopping mass murders .. CONTROL BULLETS

AMERICA IS AWASH IN AMMUNITION. IF YOU WANT TO STOP GUN VIOLENCE, START WITH BULLETS
Now, what’s truly amazing is that the day before, Wired featured an article about the new 3-d printers ‘printing’ functional high capacity magazines for ‘assault weapons’ (i.e., the hunting rifles a lot of people around HERE use). Now, if you have brass or a functionally useful modern synthetic equivalent, and lead (same condition) and or copper (ditto), and the propellant makings, you can certainly print all the bullets you want since they are far simpler than the mechanics of a magazine.
Never mind that the rate of mass shootings has NEVER CHANGED (I was old enough to understand Mr. Charles Whitman’s hideous efforts in 1966).
Never mind that in states where gun ownership is very high (such as this one) and gun crime is very low (we have the lowest gun murder rate in the nation).
Never mind that the only ‘universal background checks’ which can work can only do so if the federals KNOW every gun owner (in case they sell one), which is UNCONSTITUTIONAL (there are actually laws preventing this very thing).
Instead, AGAIN, we do not even now question what MAY BE the unknown unknowns in identifying OBJECTIVE, REPEATABLE means of identifying those people who should never be permitted near weapons of ANY KIND, and have personal proclivities which make them likely to commit acts of violence and or mass violence using any means„ and thus be separated from society if needs be, and or otherwise treated.
Other weapons ….
LIKE A VEHICLE.
Like fuel oil and fertilizer.
Like powder extracted from LEGAL FIREWORKS and used otherwise.
Like propane tanks.
DO I really have to make this kind of list longer?
