The meaning of today
The reason we celebrate today is because back in our founding days, we had the courage and bravery to fight. That courage and bravery is gone. When people are asked about going out and protesting, they come up with a million excuses for not doing so. If we had had that attitude back then, we would be curtsying the queen. Those who fought and died for our independence, would not be proud of us today. We have allowed our government to get away with far too much. A lot more than they would have been able to stomach. We have an administration that is going out of their way to take away our constitutional rights. They are slick. But, they also know that we are apparently weak and are unwilling to do anything about it.
This administration is only the most recent in a long line of government abuse. Our government has gotten so big, so egotistical, that they are NOT a GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE.
Watching what the Egyptions have done twice, has made me feel really embarrassed for our people. Seems to me, we are willing to just go from one election cycle to the next without doing a thing. Apparently what happens during those years to our country and to us, isn't really all that important.
The citizens of Egypt were not willing to wait and watch their country be destroyed and their freedoms get taken away, while waiting for the next election.
No matter if you agree with why they did this, it should still be a lesson to us.
It can happen here. If only people would dig deep and find the courage that we once had.
We are suppose to be the land of the brave. I think the Egyptions have now taken control of that title.
I'm positive some people won't like what I have said. But sometimes the truth hurts.

If We Were Under Attack...
First of all, I don't expect my opinion to be popular. I am only putting it out because I feel it is important for all of us to give it some thought. I am positive their are others who have had this go through their mind at one time or another....

Visitor From The Past
I forgot about this one until I saw it at The Gunslinger's. Had to research a little to find the author. Post it on your wall, see who smiles and who scowls as they read it. Visitor From The Past/The Ghost of Valley Forge Thelan Paulk (1986) I had...
